The site is approximately a 1 hour drive from Cork international airport which provides regular direct flights to the rest of Europe and North America. Connections are available with the rest of the world through Dublin, London, Paris and Amsterdam.

Accommodation

The big dish is located within the Elfordstown Earthstation at a remote site in the hills in the Irish countryside. But there are hotels and restaurants within 20 minutes’ drive in the nearby picturesque town of Midleton. Among the many attractions, this town is famous for producing the world famous Jameson Whiskey at its Copper pot distilleries.
